If you don’t think there is a lot of energy in the world, then why don’t you let me tell you about the many sources of energy. First, have ever been to an amusement park? Well there is a lot of energy there. Like all of the rides, when you go up then you have a potential to fall (also called gravitational potential energy). Gravitational potential energy is when energy builds up and has the ability to fall. When it falls it turns into kinetic energy (was GPE but then turned into moving energy, or also called KE). KE is an energy that has to be moving, if it isn’t, then there is no energy possible. A example of GPE is when you rise up up and up until you hit the highest point of the coaster. When you hit the top the GPE is the most it can get. Then when it drops, then the GPE starts to go away and the KE starts to kick in. KE gains as it goes down, or a straight away. If it starts to go up then the KE starts to go down and GPE starts up again. So this cycle will go over and over again. But when ever the coaster goes up it will never reach the full amount of GPE. So now you know that there is alot of energy around and in the world.
